Public Service Award of Excellence (PSAE)

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that the nomination period for the Public Service Award of Excellence (PSAE) is officially open. The granting of these prestigious awards is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the exceptional federal public servants who go above and beyond, showcasing excellence, professionalism, and innovation in their work for Canadians. 

You are invited to take some time to reflect on the outstanding individual and collective achievements of our colleagues throughout 2024 and propose nominations in one of the following award categories:

  • Excellence in Profession
  • Exceptional Young Public Servants
  • Exemplary Contribution in Extraordinary Circumstances
  • Joan Atkinson Award for Public Sector Values in the Workplace
  • Ian Shugart Award for an Outstanding Career

Nomination process and deadline

  1. Consult the PSAE GCpedia site and the Nomination Guidelines.
  2. Email the Parks Canada National Recognition Team if you plan on proposing a nomination.  If so, please provide the name of the person, their title and business unit, or the team name and number of people.
  3. Select a category, complete the nomination form and prepare two letters of support, one of which must be signed by the respective Vice-President.
  4. Submit the completed nomination form and letters of support directly to the Parks Canada National Recognition Team no later than Thursday, March 13, 2025.
  5. Nominations will be acknowledged and reviewed prior to submitting to the Treasury Board Secretariat.
