2025-06-04 Performance Management 2025-2026 Beginning of Cycle

Dear colleagues,

The 2025–2026 Performance Management Cycle is now launched for all team members. The start of the Cycle is the perfect opportunity to set work objectives, clarify performance expectations, and discuss learning and development needs.

All performance agreements and learning plans must be recorded in the Public Service Performance Management (PSPM) application by June 30, 2025.

Here’s how to get off to a good start :

For Managers:

  • Hold a discussion with each team member to establish clear work objectives.
  • Review the key competencies and explain the expected behaviours.
  • Discuss learning and development needs and agree on the activities to include in the learning plan.
  • Enter all information in the PSPM application, sign the Performance Agreement, and invite your employees to do the same.

ForTeam Members:

  • Prepare to discuss your objectives, learning needs, and development opportunities with your manager.
  • Familiarize yourself with the key competencies and make sure you understand the expected behaviours.
  • Ask for clarification if needed.
  • Record and sign your performance agreement in the PSPM application.

If technical issues prevent you from accessing the PSPM application, please use the paper form.

For Seasonal Employees:
If your employment period differs from the regular schedule, your performance agreement should still be signed as soon as possible. Visit the Seasonal Employees ParksNet page for more information.

Resources
The Performance Management ParksNet dedicated page provides you with a wealth of resources and tools to help you through each step of the process. I also invite you to participate in the information sessions available or watch previous learning sessions as part of the Performance and Talent Management Learning Series page.

Every action counts in building a respectful, fair, and inclusive workplace. The PSPM application has been updated to include a mandatory annual attestation related to values and ethics codes and conflict of interest.

Still have unanswered questions or a specific situation you would like to discuss? Contact the Performance and Talent Management team. They are here to help and will be happy to support you every step of the way.

Thank you,

Karine Renoux
