Mental Health Week and Safety and Health Week 2025
Hello to all team members!
We are excited to announce that Mental Health Week and the Safety and Health Week are taking place from May 5 to 11.
As Parks Canada Wellness Co-Champions, we encourage you to take this opportunity to focus on your mental health and well-being. This week is a great opportunity to listen to yourself and others and foster authentic exchanges. In a world where the pressures of daily life often lead us to hide what we truly feel, this year’s theme, “Unmasking Mental Health” invites us to be transparent and create an atmosphere of trust and mutual support.
Occupational health and safety (OHS) are also essential, this week and year-round. Let us remember the importance of working together to create a safe workplace and to reduce risks. Have all of your health and safety questions answered at the Ask me anything session hosted by the Regional OHS Coordinators from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, May 6.
Check out the ParksNet page, explore the resources, discover new tools, and most importantly, don’t forget to register for the activities that interest you. Mark your calendars on Thursday, May 8, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (ET) for a dynamic and interactive Health, Safety, and Wellness Quiz! This activity aims to raise awareness and update essential knowledge related to health, safety, and well-being in the workplace. To join the quiz, form a team (up to 15 people), choose a creative name and email your team name and member list to mieuxetre-wellness@pc.gc.ca by noon (ET) on Wednesday, May 7.
In addition, we invite all teams to share their best practices related to health, safety, and wellness by email to mieuxetre-wellness@pc.gc.ca. Whether it’s inspiring initiatives, everyday actions, or effective strategies, your contributions will be invaluable. A compilation of these practices will be published on ParksNet to inspire the entire organization.
We encourage you to participate in these engaging and stimulating activities and continue the conversation within your team to help build a culture of well-being and prevention at Parks Canada!
