45th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope

Good morning,

Parks Canada is honoured to support the Terry Fox Foundation (TFF) for the 45th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope, commemorated with the Terry Fox Ride of Hope. From June 9 to July 10, a team of elite riders, including Terry Fox's brother, Darrell, will cycle 7,000 kilometers across the country, starting in Vancouver, British Columbia, and ending in St. John’s, Newfoundland. They will be riding past, and even stopping at, some of the country’s most treasured places administered by Parks Canada.

As Wellness Co-Champions, we invite you to participate in this remarkable event! This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and funds for cancer research while celebrating Terry Fox, a symbol of hope and determination and a person of national historic significance as iconic as our Parks Canada places.

There is something for everyone. You can join the Ride of Hope as a Provincial Rider (for avid cyclists) or as a Ride-a-Long-Rider (for all abilities). While participation is voluntary and must be done outside of work hours, we encourage you to consider being part of history and connecting with fellow Canadians to support this great cause.
