Announcement – Appointment of René Lajzerowicz - Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of René Lajzerowicz to the position of Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive within the Office of the President & Chief Executive Officer, effective October 23, 2025. This appointment follows an external selection process coordinated with the Office of the Comptroller General.

René began his federal public service career in 2008, holding audit positions at the Public Service Commission and later at the Canada Border Service Agency. He joined Parks Canada in 2017 as Head of Internal Audit, where he led a diverse and talented team. René has placed a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and on strengthening awareness of services offered by the Office of Internal Audit and Evaluation.  He also brings a broad perspective, having gained more than a decade of experience in the high-tech private sector, focusing on operations and quality assurance.  Since 2023, René has been serving as acting Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive.

René holds a Bachelor of Social Science with a concentration in Economics and Geography from the University of Ottawa.
