Parks Canada Talent Hub

Colleagues,

As part of our Agency-wide talent acquisition efforts, I am glad to announce the launch of the Parks Canada Talent Hub.

The Parks Canada Talent Hub (or the Hub) is a one-stop shop for hiring manager to tap into the deep Parks Canada pool of talent and to retain experienced employees.

The Hub is two-fold:

  • It allows talented individuals to market themselves and their expertise to hiring managers.
  • It allows human resources advisors to source and provide a list of distinguished candidates to hiring managers based on their staffing needs.

Who can apply?

  • Parks Canada employees looking for off-season, at-level, acting, or assignment work opportunities.
  • Parks Canada retirees who are available and interested in rejoining the Parks Canada workforce.
  • Parks Canada student alumni who have recently graduated and wish to start their career with Parks Canada.

Next Steps:

Managers: If you have a vacant position to fill, contact your human resources advisor to get access to candidates with valid security clearances, relevant Parks Canada experience or a specialized talent that can be put to work. Using already qualified and available staff can cut your staffing times by more than half, all while retaining critical talent at Parks.

For your information, the Staffing Centre of Expertise team will also be sending this invitation to retired employees and former students, using the contact information they have on hand.

Employees: If you are interested in off-season work, or in acting or assignment opportunities, submit your application today. You can apply in as little as 20 minutes by filling out the online form.

Important note: Although self-declaration is completed voluntary, applicants are highly encouraged to self-identify.

For more information about the Talent Hub, please contact the Staffing Centre of Expertise team.

Thank you,

Réa McKay

Reminder to managers: In keeping with Parks Canada's procedures for communications with employees, managers are responsible for ensuring all employees under their responsibility receive the information intended for them. It is important that you find a means to transmit this message and, if any, the attachment(s) to employees without access to Parks Canada e-mail or the intranet, e.g., by posting it, circulating a paper copy or by any other appropriate means.
