Announcement – Appointment of Marie-Hélène Brisson – Director, Visitor Experience

Colleagues,

I would like to announce the appointment of Marie-Hélène Brisson to the position of Director, Visitor Experience, within the External Relations and Visitor Experience Directorate, effective February 13, 2023.

Marie-Hélène has been working in the field of communications, public affairs and tourism for nearly 18 years. After working at the University of Ottawa for a few years, Marie-Hélène began her career in the federal public service in 2009 as a Communications Assistant at the Department of National Defence. In 2015, she joined Parks Canada where she has since led many teams responsible for strategic communications, brand experience, corporate image, media services, corporate events and public affairs.

Marie-Hélène’s journey with the organization allowed her to achieve major projects such as supporting the production of numerous digital platforms which allowed to establish a valuable connection with Canadians, the creation of a new reservation system for Parks Canada protected areas visitors, and the implementation of electric vehicle charging stations.

Marie-Hélène holds a diploma of college studies in Literature from Cégep de l'Outaouais, as well as a diploma of collegial studies in Public Relations from La Cité Collégiale.
