It’s back! The Learning and Discovery Pass

Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce the return of the Employee Learning and Discovery Pass (ELDP)! The Agency is delighted to offer the ELDP to its team members to experience and learn more about our national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites across the country.

  • Eligibility: All indeterminate (year-round or seasonal) and term employees of the Agency (including students) along with their families (up to two adults and their dependent children). The pass is for exclusive use by staff and is not transferable.
  • Validity: The pass is valid at Parks Canada administered sites between now and December 31, 2025.
  • Operation: Upon entering a national park, marine conservation area or historic site, present your ELDP or your valid employee card to a Parks Canada employee. The pass shall be displayed on the vehicle dash.

In the coming weeks, the Center of Expertise for Learning, Performance, and Recognition will distribute the passes to the coordinators of all field and business units, who will then be responsible for issuing passes to eligible staff.

I invite you to take some time for yourselves to discover and enjoy the treasured places we protect and present on behalf of Canadians. Please consult the ELDP ParksNet page for additional information and criteria.

Enjoy your time and stay safe!
