Lock 19 is located at south edge of Peterborough. Boaters will be able to find an ample range of services in this city of 75,000 inhabitants. By mooring below the lock station, boaters can extend the length of the cruising day as there are open river and lake runs all the way to Hastings; a distance of 60.5 km (37.6 miles)
