Learn-to Camp

Rouge National Urban Park

Never been camping? Not sure how to get started? The Parks Canada Learn-to Camp team is here to help!

Our program prepares you with the knowledge and skills you need to feel confident planning and going on your first camping adventure. We typically offer three ways that you can get your first taste of camping.

Pop-ups

Free drop-in sessions at community locations in the Greater Toronto Area – and find us at various trailheads throughout Rouge National Urban Park! We can briefly introduce you to Parks Canada and camping in the great outdoors, and provide information on outdoor safety.
