Do you love winter fun with the family?

We are hosting several amazing Learn-to Snowshoe events at Rouge National Urban Park! We will provide you with everything you need to get the most out of the event, including snowshoes, how to use them, a guided walk through a new trail, and S’MORES!

The last day to cancel is the Friday prior to each event day before 4:00 pm. Late cancellations will not be refunded.

How to prepare for winter activities

To make the most of your winter adventure, dress in warm, weather-appropriate clothing and layers suited for outdoor conditions. Before you head out, check the forecast, familiarize yourself with your destination and be aware of seasonal hazards. A little preparation goes a long way toward ensuring your experience is safe, enjoyable, and memorable!

Some items to prepare include:

• Winter coat and snow pants
• Dry socks (bring an extra pair to change into) 
• Multi-layered basic clothing (wool or polyester)
• Neck warmer
• Toque
• Gloves or mittens
• Sunglasses (as needed)
