Info-Work: Temporary Closure of Port Severn Road from October 18th to 22nd for Repairs
Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site
Port Severn, Ontario, October 12, 2021 – Parks Canada would like to advise that Port Severn Road at the main dam will be temporarily closed from Monday October 18th to Friday October 22nd to complete concrete and other repairs. A detour route will be in place via Highway 400 during this time. Please exercise caution, respect working crews and equipment, and obey signage in the area.
As part of a historic investment program along the Trent-Severn Waterway, Parks Canada replaced the main dam and fixed bridge in Port Severn. This work included a full demolition of the main dam, fixed bridge, piers and abutments. Parks Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
