Picnicking and day use areas

There are a number of excellent picnic sites within Waskesiu and throughout the park. You’ll find a great spot to enjoy a meal or spend an entire day outdoors along Highway 263, Narrows Road, Kingsmere Road and in Waskesiu. Most of the day use areas offer picnic tables, fire pits, outdoor washrooms and many have sandy beaches.

Beginning spring 2025, free firewood is not provided in day use areas or campgrounds. Visitors can purchase bundled firewood from participating businesses in the townsite of Waskesiu or the South entry gate for use at all picnic and day use areas. More Information.
