Info-Work: NO ACCESS TO GLEN ROSS ROAD PARKING LOT ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1, 2018

Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site

Peterborough, Ontario, July 27, 2018 – On Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, the contractor for the Glen Ross Swing Bridge project will be replacing the culvert running under the road on the north side of the Glen Ross Swing Bridge. From 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, there will be no access to the Parks Canada’s parking lot north of the bridge on Glen Ross Road.

We ask that members of the public remove their cars from the lot north of the swing bridge by 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018. Cars that remain in the lot may be blocked in while the culvert replacement is completed. A vehicle detour map for the site has been attached.

Parks Canada would like to thank the community for their cooperation and understanding as we complete this important infrastructure work. These historic investments will mitigate health and safety risks, halt the loss of nationally significant built heritage, and stimulate the economy in the community.
