New! Submit your staffing actions through JIRA
Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the launch of our new online JIRA based staffing system. This innovation marks a key milestone in our journey towards optimizing HR processes across Parks Canada. It was developed over the past six months through a collaboration between the Human Resources and Employee Wellness Directorate, the Digital Services Branch, and operational human resources staff across Parks Canada.
This platform enables delegated managers to easily submit and approve staffing actions through intuitive staffing smart forms. They will replace the current paper forms which are used over 10,000 times per year and will introduce significant time savings for managers. Staffing actions created in JIRA will be automatically routed to and managed by your local human resources teams online, replacing email and shared drive usage for many of the staffing actions.
Please begin your next staffing action today by accessing the HR Staffing Service Desk. If you already have a paper request in, you do not need to resubmit it. And if you have started a new paper request, you can submit it through normal channels, or switch to the new form immediately.
For any questions or concerns regarding the new JIRA staffing smart forms, please do not hesitate to reach out to our HR team at ressourcement-resourcing@pc.gc.ca. We are here to support you through this transition and ensure a seamless experience.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation as we embark on this significant improvement. Your support is crucial to our collective success.
Best regards,
Réa McKay
Vice-president, Human Resources & Employee Wellness
Human Resources & Employee Wellness Directorate
Reminder to managers: In keeping with Parks Canada's procedures for communications with employees, managers are responsible for ensuring all employees under their responsibility receive the information intended for them. It is important that you find a means to transmit this message and, if any, the attachment(s) to employees without access to Parks Canada e-mail or the intranet, e.g., by posting it, circulating a paper copy or by any other appropriate means.
