La Mauricie National Park

La Mauricie National Park is at its most beautiful in autumn, with a breathtaking array of colors. With a free and varied program, young and old alike can have fun and learn more about our natural treasures. Passionate about nature and generous with their knowledge, the naturalists are waiting for you!

Guided hike – Solitaire Lake

Guided hike, lunch break at the refuge, return to the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre with a hot drink.

Day: Thursdays
Meeting location: Solitaire Lake Trail
Hours: 10:30 am
Duration: 4 hours

N.B.: No reservation necessary. In the event of heavy rain, the activity will be cancelled.

Guided hike – Les Cascades Trail
A Parks Canada naturalist.

Come and learn more about this emblematic trail in La Mauricie National Park.

Day: Sundays
Meeting location: Les Cascades Trail
Hours: 10:00 am
Duration: 2 hours

N.B.: No reservations required. In case of rain, an alternative activity will be held at the Shewenegan Picnic Area.

On the trail of the moose

Moose-themed hike on the La Cache Trail, with cookie tasting at the end.

Days: Wednesdays at 10 am and Fridays at 1 pm
Meeting location: lac du Fou
Duration: 2.5 hours, including tasting

N.B.: No reservation required. In case of rain, an alternative activity will be held at the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre.

Animated Halloween Rally

Animated Halloween rally with costumed characters along the way. Find out who captured Gertrude, Luc and Arnold, three well-known animals in La Mauricie National Park. Halloween costumes optional.

Sunday, October 8, 10 am to 4 pm
Saturday, October 28, 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday, October 29, 10 am to 2 pm
Meeting location: Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre, starting point on Multipurpose trail (#3) .

N.B.: No reservation required. The rally is also offered in a stand-alone version from October 9 to October 27, 2023. The activity will take place rain or shine.
