Road cycling

La Mauricie National Park

For a leisurely ride through wilderness or for high level training, the Parkway awaits you. For a pleasant experience, we recommend starting your outing from the Esker Parking Lot or the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre Parking Lot.

On your journey, you'll be dazzled by the many viewing sites and striking panoramas of the landscape. This winding road, punctuated by ascents and descents, is 64 km in length. So, feel free to stop at one of our well-equipped picnic areas to re-energize or simply refresh yourself in a lake.

Services

Inclusive sanitary facilities are available at Esker Picnic Area and at the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre, which also offers showers for a fee.

For the best experience, cyclists are invited to use the Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre Parking Lot (Saint-Jean-des-Piles entrance) or the Esker Parking Lot (Saint-Mathieu entrance). These parking lots are located off Parkway. These facilities providing access to drinking water and restrooms are located nearest to their respective entrances. All that's left to do is discover this bucolic road with your bikes.

Caution on the road

The Parkway is even more pleasant for cyclists and motorists with the new asphalt and when possible wider shoulders. We invite you to be more careful as safety is a shared responsibility.

At all times:

  • Wear a bicycle helmet
  • Be courteous and share the road
  • Ride in line. Parkway is not conducive to riding in packs, which can be dangerous in these conditions. It's essential to share the road safely with other road users.
  • Make sure you have enough food and water to complete your trip
