Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site

Kejimkujik offers a variety of camping experiences including roofed accommodations (oTENTik, Ôasis and rustic cabins), front-country campsites for tents, trailers and RVs, group camping, and backcountry campsites accessible by hiking or paddling. Free admission and discounted overnight stays at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site

The Canada Strong Pass is back! Enjoy free admission and 25% off camping and overnight stays from June 19 to September 7, 2026.

Backcountry firewood changes

Beginning in 2025, free and unlimited firewood is no longer provided for backcountry campsites and rustic cabins. Campers who choose to have a campfire must purchase firewood at the Visitor Centre or Campground Kiosk and transport it to their campsite. Campers will otherwise rely on the appliances they bring with them for their cooking, heating, and entertainment needs. More information

Camping dates

Camping is available from Victoria Day weekend (mid-May) to the end of October. Camping is not permitted from November to Victoria Day weekend.

Camping is not permitted at Kejimkujik National Park Seaside. Camping is available nearby at Thomas Raddall Provincial Park. Kejimkujik Seaside is a day-use site only.

The changing forest

Hemlock woolly adelgid is an invasive insect that is damaging and killing Eastern hemlock in Kejimkujik.
