Requirement Notice
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Effective Dates: May 16, 2025 – October 26, 2026
Pursuant to section 7.1(2) of the National Parks General Regulations, entering Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a designated activity that requires authorization in the form of a Park Entry Pass.
All persons entering Cape Breton Highlands National Park must possess a valid Park Entry Pass with the exception of persons who are:
- Traveling along the Cabot Trail highway without stopping inside the national park; OR
- Stopping inside the national park due to an emergency or to use an essential service; OR
- Supplying or servicing a facility or business located within the park; OR
- Conducting government business.
This requirement is in effect at all times from May 16, 2025, to October 26, 2026.
