Temporary closure notice – Mary Ann Falls Road
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Effective Dates: December 14, 2023, until further notice.
As a result of safety concerns due to ongoing construction activity at this location, the Superintendent hereby closes the Mary Ann Falls Road pursuant to s.36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations.
Entry and Travel by any means on the Mary Ann Falls Road is prohibited until such time as the closure has been lifted by the Superintendent.
Exceptions:
- Park staff and others who are explicitly authorized by the Superintendent, for the purpose of carrying out park operations.
Anyone found in violation will be subject to charges under s. 36(3) of the National Parks General Regulations. Fines range from $237.50 - $25,000.
