Festive Seasons Painting Series with Mathieu Lebrun!
Join us at the Chéticamp Visitor Centre in Cape Breton Highlands National Park for a fun and relaxing afternoon of guided painting with local artist Mathieu Lebrun. Inspired by the changing seasons and the beauty of the Highlands, each session explores a new theme, from spirits and northern lights to love and Acadian traditions.

Guided winter walks with Hike Nova Scotia: Salmon Pools full moon hike

Time: 06:00 PM - 08:00 PMLocation(s): Cape Breton Highlands National ParkCost: FreeJoin a Parks Canada guide for a moon-lit snowshoe or hike (weather permitting) of 3 km on the Salmon Pools Trail.
Meet at Chéticamp Visitor Centre, 16 Visitor Centre Rd. Participants will walk to the trailhead with the guide. This is a full moon hike/snowshoe. Participants are welcome to bring along a headlamp/flashlight. Distance may vary depending on conditions. Event will last approximately 2 hours.

Guided winter walks with Hike Nova Scotia: Le Buttereau Trail Valentine’s Day hike and Festival Chocolat Chaud

Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PMLocation(s): Cape Breton Highlands National ParkCost: FreeJoin a Parks Canada guide for a 1.6 km winter walk, hike, or snowshoe (weather permitting) on Le Buttereau Trail.
Meet at le Buttereau trailhead, 17430 Cabot Trail, 3.7 km north of Chéticamp Visitor Centre. Les Amis du Plein Air will offer refreshments at la Rigouèche Day Use Area (near Chéticamp Visitor Centre) following the walk. This event takes place during the "Festival Chocolat Chaud 2026" with a variety of activities at locations throughout the Chéticamp area from February 13 - 15. Be sure to check out the festival program and attend some other events.

Meet at Ingonish Beach Day Use Area parking lot near the concession building, 90 Beach Rd. This is a full moon hike/snowshoe. Participants are welcome to bring along a headlamp/flashlight.
