Green Point Campground
Gros Morne National Park

Reservation launch dates
Parks Canada will be launching reservations for the 2025 visitor season starting in January.
Operating Season: May 17 to October 14, 2024; open year round by self-registration.
Green Point is a coastal escape, whether on your own, with a furry friend, or a car load of your favourite people. The campground offers spectacular ocean views with modern comforts and convenience. With direct view and access to the cobble beach, explore the banks of the Coastal Trail, and take in the sunsets in the stunted, wind-swept trees locally called tuckamore. Enjoy one of the best stargazing horizons in the Park, and then let the rhythmic sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep.
The campground is located near a traditional seasonal fish staging area, Green Point geological site, and offers access to the Coastal Trail. A short drive south brings you to the town of Rocky Harbour, Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse and a variety of trails. Head a little north to arrive at Western Brook Pond trail and boat tour.
Winter Camping
Green Point Campground is open year-round with reduced services in the off-season. After Thanksgiving weekend until May long weekend, the campground is un-serviced but available for self-registration camping. During this time, the water is shut off, a pit toilet is available and the fee for camping is reduced to the “primitive” fee.
