The Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site offers activities for groups wishing to discover this legendary site.

Activities vary according to the group type:

Guided tours for groups

For family, corporate and cultural groups.

Let our guides take you from the Grande Maison to the blast furnace, including the outdoor remains and the Devil's Fountain. Enter the legend of the Forges du Saint-Maurice on an intimate and captivating tour.

Immerse yourself in the history of the Forges and imagine the hellish fire spewing out, the sound of a hammer beating iron at the hands of skilled workers shaping kettles, weapons, nails, pans and other objects needed by the colony. You'll feel the heat, that's for sure!

Minimum group size: 12 people

Length: 60 minutes

Languages offered: English and French

Reservations: reservations are mandatory and must be made by phone at 819-378-5116 or by email at forges@pc.gc.ca

Guided tours for French-immersion groups

For French-immersion groups and their accompanying person.

Guided tours for French-immersion groups are the same as for the groups listed above, but guides can adapt the activity to the needs of the visitors.

Minimum group size: 12 people

Length: 60 minutes

Language offered: French only
