    Historic Places Days take place from July 11 to 17, 2025. This national event, hosted by the National Trust for Canada, is intended to showcase heritage places across the country.

    It's the perfect time to discover or rediscover the fabulous history of Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site.

  • Screening of indigenous short films for youth with Wapikoni mobile

    Wapikoni mobile and the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site invite youth and their families to attend the screening of Enraciné.e pour avancer (Rooted to Move Forward).

    The program features 15 short films selected by Catherine Boivin, an Atikamekw artist from Wemotaci, who served as curator-mentor to two young curators, Alexandra B. Dominique, an Innu from Mashteuiatsh, and Myriam Grenier, an Innu from Uashat Mak Mani-Utenam. The short films address themes such as identity and diversity in Indigenous cultures.

    Ambassador Kim Arseneault will be there to introduce the short films and answer questions from the audience.

    Target audience: youth aged 7 to 12

    Languages: alternating between indigenous languages, English, and French (the screening includes subtitles).

    Location: exhibition hall on the 2nd floor of the Ironmaster’s House at the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site.

    Our Climate Quest stops at the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site for just a few weeks!

    Come see this exhibition by Science North and enjoy a fun day with your family while doing your part to help change the world. Learn how you can take small steps to big change on the path to climate action.

    It includes hands-on activities for all ages and the Climate Action Show, which presents ideas for taking action and real change-makers.

    Target audience: youth aged 4 to 18

    Exhibition schedule: varies according to the dates and opening hours in effect.
