Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site

Discover the life of the workers and masters of the forges who provided for the colony's needs from 1730 to 1883. Let the history of the site and the legends that have been passed down from generation to generation soak you in.

Useful information

Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site is temporarily closed to the public for the season and will reopen in spring 2026. In the meantime:
  • The site welcomes groups (schools, social clubs, etc.) for guided tours from May to October, upon reservation only. See details.
  • The outdoor areas can be visited freely and at no cost, but please note that the visitor centre and restrooms are not accessible.
