    Historic Places Days take place from July 11 to 17, 2025. This national event, hosted by the National Trust for Canada, is intended to showcase heritage places across the country.

    It's the perfect time to discover or rediscover the fabulous history of Fort Chambly National Historic Site.

  • Screening of indigenous short films for youth with Wapikoni mobile

    Wapikoni mobile and the Fort-Chambly National Historic Site invite youth and their families to attend the screening of Enraciné.e pour avancer (Rooted to Move Forward).

    The program features 15 short films selected by Catherine Boivin, an Atikamekw artist from Wemotaci, who served as curator-mentor to two young curators, Alexandra B. Dominique, an Innu from Mashteuiatsh, and Myriam Grenier, an Innu from Uashat Mak Mani-Utenam. The short films address themes such as identity and diversity in Indigenous cultures.

    Ambassador Christina Brière will be there to introduce the short films and answer questions from the audience.

    Target audience: youth aged 7 to 12

    Languages: alternating between indigenous languages, English, and French (the screening includes subtitles)

    Fort Chambly National Historic Site park is hosting the 22nd edition of the Bières et Saveurs de Chambly Festival.

    While you're at the festival, take the opportunity to visit the fort and its exhibitions, during opening hours.

    Would you like to know how French soldiers lived in the 18th century? Now's your chance! This weekend, the Compagnie de Lacorne (website in French only) is coming to Fort Chambly National Historic Site.

    Throughout the day, characters will reenact scenes from soldiers in the Compagnies franches de la Marine as they move around the fort. Have fun following them in the park, the open courtyard, and the Jacques-de-Chambly hall and interacting with them! Who knows, you might even see them standing guard in front of the fort!

    During your visit, you can also explore the fort and its exhibitions.

  • Journées de la culture 2025

    The Journées de la culture will take place from September 26 to 28, 2025. They are presented by Culture pour tous and their goal is to offer free access to the arts and culture.

    For this special occasion, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, come discover or rediscover the fabulous history of Fort Chambly National Historic Site. More details to come regarding the program.
