Meeting Karl Chevrier | Interpretation of Algonquin crafts and birch bark canoe making

On the agenda: meet Karl Chevrier and see him in action, hear his explanations about Algonquin crafts and birch bark canoe making, and ask him your questions about this traditional art.
You'll also be able to catch him teaching and sharing his knowledge as part of the Fabrication d'un canot d'écorce training program offered by the Conseil québécois du patrimoine vivant and dedicated to six selected participants.Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, subject to opening hours

Parks Canada's national collection of precious historical objects is on display all summer long at Obadjiwan-Fort-Témiscamingue National Historic Site.On the agenda: Come and admire never-before-seen artifacts such as Indigenous conical ornaments, arrowheads and glass beads.
Location: Dérouine room in the visitor center
This new exhibition runs from June 22 to September 2, 2024 only, so act fast!

With a bachelor's degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, the artist focuses on rurality and plays with silkscreen in this exhibition that reflects the passage of time and refined agricultural and forest landscapes, elusive and motionless.Schedule: every day when the site is open and subject to opening hours

Arrow sash bookmark workshop with Michel Beauchamp

On the agenda: participate in a bookmark-making workshop in which Michel Beauchamp will teach you patience and dexterity as you learn using the arrow sash weaving technique. You'll have the chance to create your own arrow sash bookmark and keep it after the workshop.
