Rooted-Indigenous Screening Series
This screening is a collaboration between CBC and Parks Canada, bringing Indigenous led stories to parks and sites across the country.
Discover the Kluane region through archival footage, followed by a powerful compilation of Indigenous stories from the CBC Creator Network.
This family-friendly event is free and open to everyone!
Campfire Talks
June 18 – August 28
Gather around the fire and hear about Kluane’s history, wildlife, and shifting ecosystems.
Time: Thursday-Friday from 7 pm - 8 pm

Storytelling with John Fingland

Join storyteller John Fingland on the beautiful shore of Mät’àtäna Män as he shares the rich history and living culture of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations.
Time: 7 pm - 8 pm
Location: Mät’àtäna Män (Kathleen Lake) Day-Use Area
All programs are free. Please bring your own mug for fireside tea and hot chocolate!

Join us around the campfire as Helen shares her artist journey. Discover invasive plants in the park and how they’ve influenced her process and shaped her work. Learn how she transforms these plants into handmade paper and the unique art they inspire.

Create a unique nature journal with a cover made from sweet clover - an invasive species! Enjoy a bit of hands-on learning, then spend time creating in your journal. All materials provided. Hope to see you there!
Art workshop: Meet a Critter and make some paper!
August 1st, 2:00 - 4:00pm, Kluane Lake Research Station
What on earth is the Critter? It’s a special machine that turns plants into paper! See it in action and learn how invasive species can find new life as handmade paper. Join the process and maybe create something to take home. All materials provided.
