Eligibility conditions

To be eligible to the following student jobs, you must:

  • be registered as a full-time or part-time secondary school, college or university student in an approved educational programme in the current session (winter 2025);
  • or be taking part in a secondary-level adult education or retraining programme run by an accredited educational establishment in the current session (winter 2025);
  • hold a valid class 5 driving licence;
  • have reached the minimum age required for employment in Québec.

Gate attendant and cashier services

Welcome, inform and guide visitors; collect entrance and activities fees; offer an exceptional experience to visitors.

Finance and administration - Store assistant

The student will assist the Storekeeper in his or her duties, which include serving people, maintaining inventory, and serving the store in the Storekeeper's absence.

The student will have to travel regularly with a vehicle provided to take change to the various sectors of the Park, as well as do errands.

Environmental conservation, restoration, and management

The student will have to identify animal and plant species in coastal, marine and forest environments. The student will have to carry out data management using various means of transport in terrestrial, coastal and lake environments, entering and validating the data collected as part of various projects such as the monitoring of the lobster harvest, the monitoring of fish communities (electrofishing), the monitoring of the vegetation of various forest stands, etc.

The person will be required to travel in the backcountry as part of various resource management projects.

Media and marketing

Provide support to the dynamic External Relations team, which has a wide range of expertise: communications, marketing, public relations, education, Web and social media.

Put your talents to good use in graphic design, photography or video production and editing for the three sites of the Gaspésie Field Unit; create original content for Forillon National Park's social media; courteously respond to visitor questions received via Facebook; replenish the photo bank of inspiring landscapes; host educational activities on Quebec Lighthouse Day and Family Day (see work locations); write blog posts and radio columns; provide film crews with a friendly helping hand.

  • Workplaces: Mainly at Forillon National Park, with visits to the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site and Pointe-au-Père Lighthouse National Historic Site.
