Sitting on the banks of the Yukon River, the majestic SS Klondike National Historic Site is the perfect place to spend a few hours. Take a guided tour of the grounds with an interpretive guide, stroll through the interpretive panels at your own pace or join us in the theatre for film viewings several times daily.
The S.S. Klondike is undergoing extensive restoration and lead removal work. This is a long-term project. During this time, the boat will not be accessible to visitors.
The site, however, will remain open to the public. We are offering guided tours, showing our popular film “In the Days of the Riverboats” and selling Parks Canada official merchandise. The Escape Room “Escape the Sinking of the S.S. Klondike” is back by popular demand.
