Discover how much wood it took to keep the paddlewheel turning. Learn how the ship’s captain negotiated the rapids. Find out what the crew did if the ship got stuck on a sandbar!
The S.S. Klondike is closed for the season. Guided tours will be back again in 2023!
Guided tours are offered by our dynamic Parks Canada Heritage Presenters. Tours are offered in English or French between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
We recommend you check in 30 minutes ahead of time. This will give you time to watch the 20 minute video “In the Days of the Riverboats” before your tour begins.
The upper decks of the S.S. Klondike remain closed due to structural concerns. Work to address these concerns is ongoing.
