The Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site
Located in southwestern Quebec in Montreal, The Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site is open to the general public from June to September.
Allow around 60 minutes to explore the visitor center and exhibitions, and enjoy a picnic overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
Useful information
The Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site is temporarily closed to the public for the season and will reopen in spring 2026. In the meantime:- The site welcomes groups (schools, social clubs, etc.) for guided tours from April to November, upon reservation only. See details.
- The outdoor areas can be visited freely and at no cost, but please note that the visitor centre and restrooms are not accessible.
