Free admission for active members and Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and their immediate families starting Jan 1, 2024.

Spending time in nature is beneficial to one’s health and exploring cultural sites and stories can provide opportunities to spend quality time alone or with families and friends.

The Government of Canada acknowledges and respects the extraordinary contributions and sacrifices made by Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces members and their families. Parks Canada is supporting the health and wellness of members and Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families.

By presenting the CF One Platinum card, which is administered through the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services Agency, or the Veteran’s Service Card, active Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and their immediate families receive free daily admission to all Parks Canada administered locations.

What is included:

What is not included: 

Regular fees still apply for other experiences and services, such as:

  • frontcountry and backcountry camping and other accommodations
  • Canadian Rockies Hot Springs
  • Northern Park Backcountry Camping and Excursion Permit
  • lockage
  • mooring
  • reservation fees
  • guided tours and hikes and programs not included with admission
  • some special event fees
  • firewood
