  • On the Lookout -Guided Hike

    Can you see what I see? On this guided hike, Park staff will show you the best-kept secrets of the landscape, as well as our iconic clifftop lookout! 

    Note on accessibility: Lookout Trail is a narrow pathway, with uneven ground, tripping hazards (roots/rocks), marshy areas, and multiple set of stairs (without banisters).

    We love nature so much, that we can’t help but celebrate it! Join us for pictures with Parka and airbrush tattoos at the Mallorytown Landing Visitor Centre. In the afternoon at Landons Bay, we will be offering our “On the Lookout” Guided hike (French at 12pm, English at 2pm).

    Like the pages of a diary, the landscape of Landons Bay tells a story that we are a part of. On this guided hike, we will explore the ways our values physically shape the world we live in. 

    Note on accessibility: The Halstead Creek Trail is narrow at times, with uneven ground, tripping hazards (roots/rocks), and muddy areas.

  • TENT Talks - Beneath the Surface: Who are the fish of the Thousand Islands?

    Location(s): Thousand Islands National Park

    Park Ecologist Josh Van Wieren will explore “Beneath the Surface: Who are the fish of the Thousand Islands?” 
    Josh will lead a Fish Seine to get a look at what communities surround the Park.

    • Mallorytown Landing, Dockside Picnic Shelter

  • TENT Talks - Aly Hoover, L&G Turtles: Turtles of Leeds and Grenville

    Aly Hoover from Leeds Grenville turtles will be joining us to talk about the turtles in our own backyard and the work she does to ensure they are protected. 

    Weather depending, she will have a live education turtle with her.
