There is no better way to explore this scenic delight than by taking the Western Brook Pond Boat Tour. On board, behold the spectacular glacier-carved land-locked fjord, waterfalls cascading from 2000 feet that often turn to mist before reaching the pond, billion year-old cliffs, and frequent wildlife sightings.

Details

Float between massive billion-year-old cliffs featuring waterfalls that cascade into the park’s largest lake from ponds atop the plateau. A moderate 3 km trail (approx. 45 min walk) leads from the parking lot to the dock. This is a 2 hour boat tour with live interpretation is considered a Canadian Signature Experience. The two boats have canopied decks and on-board washrooms.
A sheltered waiting area, indoor washroom facilities, canteen services, gift shop, and several beautiful picnic areas can be found at dock site.
Pets are not permitted on the boats. Departures depend on wind and weather conditions.

Hike to the top of Western Brook Pond Gorge

Meet a professional guide at the dockside, take the shuttle to the end of the pond and then hike to the top of the gorge. Once on top you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the pond.
