From sandy beaches to secluded forests, the park has a wide range of spots to choose from. Below are some of the park's most popular picnic locations:

  • La Source: This picnic spot offers a peaceful and shaded environment, with a large picnic shelter that's perfect for a relaxed lunch in nature.
  • Kellys Beach: With a beautiful sandy beach and stunning views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Kellys Beach is an ideal spot for picnics and beach activities. The canteen located near the entrance offers tasty snacks and refreshments.
  • Callanders Beach: This dog-friendly picnic spot is located near the Wigwam and offers a large sandy beach and drive-in picnic area with plenty of seating and tables, making it a great spot for a family picnic.
  • Visitor Reception Centre: The picnic area near the Visitor Reception Centre is surrounded by a beautiful forest and offers a peaceful setting to enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the natural surroundings.
  • Pijeboogwek: This picnic spot is located near the park entrance and offers a secluded setting for a picnic under the pines and spruces.
  • Campgrounds and Campsites: Several cooking shelters are available in the park's campgrounds, as well as one picnic table at every camp site.
  • Picnic Shelters: Kouchibouguac National Park's bike pathways offer several picnic shelters and tables, allowing visitors to take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch while exploring the park on two wheels.
  • Xavier Bridge: This picnic spot is located near the Kouchibouguac River and offers a tranquil setting for a picnic with stunning views of the river. Bring a picnic blanket here, as no tables are currently available at this location.

Please remember to properly dispose of all food and waste to help preserve the park's natural environment. Visitors should also never feed wildlife or leave food unattended, as this can attract animals and create safety risks for both visitors and wildlife. Visitors are not allowed to use charcoal grills or start fires outside of designated areas.
