Prescribed Fire in the Area

WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: The Porcupine Valley is closed from the entrance at the Trans-Canada Highway to Mt King. This includes the Mt. Hunter Trail, and all other access within the Porcupine Valley.

WHY: For the safety of the general public during prescribed fire operations.

PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.

Start date: 2025-08-26

End date: Until further notice
