Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site
Haawa/thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Gwaii Haanas Field Unit!
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions we are not offering volunteer opportunities. However, we encourage people to participate in the following self-directed activities:
Whale Monitoring:
Download the BC Cetacean Sightings Network app before your trip, then report your whale sightings when you are back in Wi-Fi range. Your input will support Vancouver Aquarium’s conservation and research program.
Beach Cleanup:
If possible, remove debris you come across on beaches in order to improve the Gwaii Haanas ecosystem.
