Interpretive programs and activities
Jasper National Park
Join a Parks Canada interpreter at a campground, on a trail or at other popular locations throughout the park. Attend a theatre presentation or take part in an activity to learn what makes Jasper National Park unique.
These programs are free and open to all visitors, including those who are not camping.

Fire on a Cultural Landscape: Archaeology and the Jasper Wildfire

Join Parks Canada archaeologist Jennifer Ayles for an evening exploring archaeology in Jasper National Park.
The 2024 Jasper Wildfire affected approximately 168 known archaeological sites across the park. In 2025, Parks Canada archaeologists, cultural heritage staff and Indigenous partners surveyed 22 high-priority sites to understand the impacts of the wildfire and help protect Jasper’s cultural heritage.
Discover what the team found, what archaeology can tell us about Jasper’s past, and how we can all help protect archaeological resources on the landscape.

The Maligne Valley Mighty Moose
Maligne Lake / Moose Lake area
Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Find our knowledge interpreters roving around the Maligne Lake or Moose Lake area to learn all about how moose interact with the environment in Jasper National Park. If you’re lucky you might even see one in its natural habitat!
