L.M. Montgomery and the Spirit of Place

This summer, Green Gables Heritage Place welcomes L.M. Montgomery and the Spirit of Place, a new exhibit by Island artist Susan Christensen. From June 3 to October 30, Christensen will paint live in the Green Gables Visitor Centre, interpreting Montgomery’s poetry on canvas. Each painting in the series is paired with a literary response by an Island writer—beginning this year with Deirdre Kessler.
