  • Arabic Language Day

    Time: 01:00 PM - 03:00 PM
    Location(s): HMCS Haida National Historic Site
    Cost: Adult admission is $4.50 + processing fee, senior admission is $4.00 + processing fee, and admission for youth 17 and under is free!

    On Arabic Language Day, Language Ambassadors from Mohawk College and Parks Canada staff will be available to deliver 1-hour pre-booked guided tours from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • 80th anniversary of D-Day/Operation Neptune at HMCS Haida

    Join us as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of a pivotal moment in Canadian history that combined all aspects of the Canadian military in their efforts to bring an end to the Second World War. This 4-day event will feature enhanced programing including commemoration ceremonies, demonstrations, specialized presentations, costumed interpretation and much, much more. Special commemoration ceremonies will take place on June 6 and 8 to mark the anniversary with most of the enhanced programming happening on June 8 and 9.

    • 10:30 a.m. "Birth of a Legend" 30 minute tour. Purchase tickets at the guardhouse.
    • 11 a.m. Battle Map program.
    • 12 p.m. Firing of A-Gun.
    • 1 p.m. "Birth of a Legend" 30 minute tour. Purchase tickets at the guardhouse.
    • 1:30 p.m. Battle Map program.
    • 2 p.m. Ceremony including firing of A-Gun.
    • 3 p.m. "Birth of a Legend" 30 minute tour. Purchase tickets at the guardhouse.

  • Women of War

    Cost: Included with admission

    Women of War Weekend at HMCS Haida will commemorate and celebrate the many ways that women contributed to Canada's war effort during the Second World War. Special programming will provide a look at how women made important contributions on the homefront, in industrial settings, and as active members of the Women's Royal Canadian Navy Service (WRCNS).

    Come aboard and learn about the important contribution women made towards the Allied victory!
