Step back in time

York Redoubt has an impressive vantage point over the entrance to the channel that flows into Halifax Harbour. This is why the British chose this location to construct one of the batteries to protect the area from the French.

Transport yourself back in time to 1793 and imagine being one of the first soldiers who stood guard from this point.
