Halifax Citadel National Historic Site

The Halifax Citadel is located in central Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is impossible to miss from the harbour and easily accessible by car or by foot. The distance to the airport is 35 km.

The Halifax Citadel is open year-round with different programs and services in each season. Visit between June and September for the full experience. Admission is charged.

First-time visitors should plan a minimum of two hours to explore; history buffs could spend the day taking in all that the Halifax Citadel has to offer.
