The Learn-to Camp team will be at Georges Island National Historic Site on select Fridays in July and August to run special programming.

Come learn about the different species of the island and how we can manage our impact on these special places
Join Parks Canada for special games, a treasure hunt, guided tours of the underground tunnels and much more

Campfire inside the historic Halifax Citadel

Imagine this: you're having a campfire like no other — inside the historic 19th century fortifications of the Halifax Citadel!

Join Parks Canada for an all-ages night of fun and education. Participants will be introduced to fire safety and fire starting techniques. Once the campfire is lit, we'll roast marshmallows and play lawn games!
