Area Closures

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following areas are closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHY:
Potential health risks due to sylvatic plague exposure.

WHERE:
Selected prairie dog colonies and the Three Sisters hiking trail (see map below) will be closed until pesticide application and disease surveillance have provided evidence that it is safe to access the area

Start Date : July 26, 2023

End Date: Until Further Notice
