Fossil Fever

Grasslands National Park

East Block, Rock Creek Campground

August 13 to 17, 2024

Spend a day uncovering the secrets of ancient dinosaurs. The Badlands were the site of one of the first discoveries of dinosaur fossils in Canada, and scientists today continue to unlock the mystery of a time when prehistoric creatures wandered the jungle on what is now the Canadian Prairie.

As part of the five-day Fossil Fever event, small groups get a hands-on lesson as they accompany a crew of paleontologists from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum on a day’s dig. Wild scenery, lunch in the badlands and five hours of finding hidden gems such as fossils are all included. Spend the evening with the paleontologists during Fossil Talks as they share their adventures.

Space is limited. Ages 6 and up.

Pre-registration is required by calling the visitor centre at 1-877-345-2257.
