Picnicking
Forillon National Park
Please note that after the park's seasonal closure, from early October to the end of May, drinkable water is no longer available in the picnic shelters at the tip of Penouille and Grande-Grave. Visitors are encouraged to bring an adequate supply.
All the picnic areas listed below are accessible by car and offer views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Gaspé Bay, or the L'Anse-au-Griffon River. What could be more pleasant than enjoying a meal surrounded by fabulous scenery?
Picnic areas without shelters
The following picnic areas feature a pit toilet and garbage cans:
- Tip of Penouille
- Fort Peninsula
- Petit-Gaspé beach
- L'Anse-Saint-Georges beach
- L'Anse-aux-Amérindiens beach
- Le Portage (North entrance)
Picnic areas with shelters
A service building (water, toilets, wood stove) is located near the following outdoor picnic areas:
- Tip of Penouille
- Cap Bon-Ami
- Grande-Grave harbour
- Cap-des-Rosiers harbour
A visitor centre featuring toilets, running water and a food area are located near the following outdoor picnic area:
- Penouille
- Cap-des-Rosiers harbour
- Recreation centre
