    Resource Management Technician II

    The Resource Conservation team works on many projects, including:

    • monitoring the rivers, plants, and animals of the park
    • doing research projects on caribou, and
    • providing safety services to staff and visitors

    What your day will look like in this job:

    You’ll work both out on the land and in the office.

    During the summer we spend time on the land in small teams of four people for 8-10 days at a time. You’ll travel by foot, canoe, jet boat, helicopter, and floatplane to collect information about the water, land, and animals in the park.

    In the office, you’ll help to plan fieldwork, prepare scientific and camping equipment, organize data collected in the field and enter it into computer.

    Our team is trained in and provides emergency response services for staff and visitors in the park. You’ll learn how to do radio check-ins with staff and, if a safety issue occurs, how to record the important information to pass on to senior staff.

    You’ll be based out of Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories and start work in Spring or Summer 2023.

    Heritage Presenter I

    What your day will look like in this job:

    In the office, you’ll greet visitors and provide them with any info they may need. You’ll also help plan trips into the park, deliver safety briefings to visitors, and more.

    You might help with registering, processing, and collecting fees. You’ll help to sell products and merchandise. These tasks all include dealing with money, recording statistical data, and more.

    In the park, you’ll prepare and present programming to visitors at Náįlįcho or Gahnįhthah and assist them as needed. This is where you will be spending most of your work time.

    You’ll help clean and maintain the campground at Náįlįcho and Gahnįhthah Mįe.
