PROHIBITED ACTIVITY
SMOKING PROHIBITION
EFFECTIVE DATE:
December 15, 2022 to December 31, 2023
Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following activities arehereby PROHIBITED by order of the Superintendent, Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada.
It is prohibited to:
(1) smoke or vape cannabis or tobacco:
(a) on or within 9m of a trail
(b) on a beach
(c) inside or within 4m of public buildings
(i) except in a designated smoking area
WHERE:
Kejimkujik Seaside, Kejimkujik National Park of Canada.
WHY:
To protect the public from second-hand smoke in alignment with the Smoke-free Places Act in Nova Scotia and to promote a quality visitor experience.
NOTE:
It is an offence under the Canada NationalParks Act to contravene these prohibitions.Violators may be prosecuted.
