SOFT-SHELL CLAM HARVEST PROHIBITION

EFFECTIVE DATE:

December 15, 2022 to December 31, 2023

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Pursuant to section 35(1) of the National Parks of Canada Fishing Regulations, the following activities are hereby PROHIBITED by order of the Superintendent, Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada.

It is prohibited to:

Harvest soft-shell clams at Kejimkujik Seaside

WHERE:

Kejimkujik Seaside, Kejimkujik National Park of Canada (including the lagoons at Little Port Joli Basin and St. Catherine’s River).

WHY:

To preserve the ecological integrity of Kejimkujik Seaside

NOTE:

It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene these prohibitions. Violators may be charged.
