Kouchibouguac National Park

Kouchibouguac's interpreters are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for this spectacular place. Get swept away on one of the many adventures they have prepared for you.

Activities with interpreters will assist you in finding a more meaningful connection to natural surroundings and a better awareness of the local cultures in this protected area of Canada's heritage.

Trivia Night

Join us for a family-friendly challenge to discover the elements that make Kouchibouguac unique and special. Form a team of 2-6 people and work together to answer questions and complete tasks to win points. A mix of easy and difficult questions, suitable for family groups with children or adult groups. There will be prizes to win!

Young naturalists

Join us for a fun activity about the natural world of Kouchibouguac National Park. This is a very hands-on activity with games and exploration. Even if it’s rainy out, we still have fun! For families with children (ideally ages 5 to 12).

Dune at dusk

Witness the magic of Kellys lagoon and dune at sunset, as a cool wind sweeps in, and things start to quiet down for the evening. Watch the sun slowly disappear as you wander along the boardwalk in company of park interpreters and maybe even spot the first few stars above the ocean.

Amenities nearby: Flush toilets, showers and change rooms near the canteen; all-terrain wheelchairs are available if reserved ahead of time by calling 506-876-2443. Note that these chairs need to be pushed by someone.


Beaver bike ride

Bring your own bike, helmet and headlamp for an evening adventure to a beaver pond. Learn about beavers from a Two-Eyed Seeing perspective (traditional Mi’gmaq knowledge & western science).
